Materials: 1 oz water 2 teaspoons Cider Vinegar 7 drops Lemon essential oil 1 ounce Beer 5 drops Rosemary essential oil 5 drops Calendula essential oil (optional for blondes) Instructions: Mix all ingredients together. Use as a final rinse, rinse well. Stale beer is fine to use. Adds protein to make hair shiny and make it feel thicker.
Dandruff Shampoo
Materials: 1/4 cup shampoo of your choice
(but not a shampoo that contains a conditioner,
a dandruff shampoo, or an oily hair shampoo)
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
3 tablespoons apple juice
1/2 teaspoon rum extract
6 finely ground cloves Instructions: In a blender, mix all
ingredients on low for 30 seconds. Wet the hair with warm water and shampoo the
mixture into the hair well. Rinse with warm water. Makes 1/4 cup. Cover and
refrigerate. Discard after 3 days!
Eve's Apple Hair Rinse
Materials: 1 large apple, peeled and cut into small pieces
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 cups water Instructions: 1. Mix together all ingredients in a blender or food processor set on "High." 2. Pour the mixture through a strainer into a clean container, discarding all solids. 3. To use: Pour over your hair after shampooing as a final rinse. 4. Massage through your hair and rinse thoroughly with cool water. Yield: 16 ounces, enough for one rinse
Anto Frizz Hair Rinse
Materials: 1 cup of oatmeal (to make your extract) 2 cups of hot
water cheesecloth 1 cup of white vinegar 2 cups of water
Instructions: Take the oatmeal and pour the 2 cups of hot water over it, stir. Let this
mixture sit overnight.(up to 3 days at room temp.) This will make your oatmeal
extract. When you are ready to make your recipe, get a clean bowl out and lay
the cheesecloth inside with the edges hanging out. Pour the oatmeal mixture
in. gather up the cheesecloth and squeeze out the oatmeal "juice" into the
bowl. Add the vinegar and the 2 cups of water. Pour into a container. Use as
a rinse after you wash your hair.
